Tmall (previously known as Taobao) now have an additional payment option via Lazada Wallet. You get to upgrade your Lazada Wallet and enjoy higher Wallet limit. You can download the apps via Google Play or Apple Store by searching the keyword; Tmall.
How do I upgrade my Lazada Wallet?
Step 1: From the Tmall Homepage, go to Account tab where you will find a banner to direct you to bind your Lazada Wallet. Enter your Lazada login details.
Step 2: After successful login, click on “Unverified” to complete the Lazada Wallet ID verification and enable Lazada Wallet usage for Tmall purchases.
Step 3: At the Account verification page, select “I’m a citizen” and be ready with your proof of identification. Take clear picture of your ID, both front and back of the NRIC. Click Submit once done.
Remarks:
If you are not a Malaysian citizen, select “I’m a foreigner” and use your passport as proof of identification.
Clear image must be taken to ensure that your KYC request will be approved.
Step 4: Take a clear picture of yourself and fill up your personal information.
Step 5: Enter your mailing address and your current occupation. Click ‘Submit’ to complete the request.
Step 6: Your Lazada Wallet is now verified and can be used for your Tmall purchases.
Note:
Once your Lazada Wallet is upgraded, these new limits will also apply for your Lazada purchases. As a Tmall user, you can now utilise your Lazada Wallet as part of your payment option.
By completing this step, your Lazada Wallet balance will be upgraded to a higher transaction limit. The new transaction limit follows:

What are the reasons for unsuccessful Lazada Wallet ID verification?
There could be several reasons and below are the error messages to reflect reasons why you experienced unsuccessful Lazada Wallet ID verification.

I do not have any Tmall account, is there any entry point for me to do the Lazada Wallet ID verification and get the new Lazada Wallet limit?
Unfortunately, this feature is currently applicable for Tmall users that wish to use their Lazada Wallet for Tmall purchases. If you do not have any Tmall account, your Lazada Wallet limit will not be upgraded.
Will Lazada Wallet transaction history reflect my purchases from Tmall?
Yes, your Lazada Wallet will keep all transaction history from both Tmall and Lazada purchases.
Step 1: From Homepage, go to Account and click on Lazada Wallet section.
Step 2: At Wallet page, you will see Transaction History option that will show all purchases and refund occurred with your Lazada Wallet.
Why my Lazada Wallet balance is different between Lazada and Tmall?
When you purchase from Tmall using your Lazada Wallet, the amount will only be deducted from the Deposit section. Any refund from your Tmall purchases will also be reflected in the Deposit section of your Lazada Wallet.
Balance in the Refund and Rebate section of your Lazada Wallet will only be allowed for Lazada purchases. You will be able to view the details in all sections of your Lazada Wallet (Deposit, Rebate and Refund) from your Lazada app.
Can I use my Mixed card (credit/ debit card) that was linked to Lazada Wallet to complete top up and pay for my Tmall orders?
Yes, you will be able to use your Mixed card to complete the transaction. You can also use the card to top up your Lazada Wallet directly.
I purchased at Tmall via Lazada Wallet and seller cancelled my order but I still did not receive the refund. What should I do?
If your refund experienced delays and has exceed the timeframe advised, please reach out to Tmall CS for further assistance.
Will I be charged a processing fee if I use Lazada Wallet to pay for Tmall purchases?
There will be a processing fee charged by Tmall, but there will be no processing fee charged from Lazada. If you have Upgraded you Lazada Wallet from Tmall and are ready to make transactions, the processing fee is as follows:
Mixed card payment: 1.5%
Online Banking: 1.5%
Lazada Wallet Balance: 1%
It will be reflected at ‘Order Confirmation’ page before the order can be confirmed. Please check the details before confirming your order.

Why am I not able to make payment with my Lazada Wallet in Tmall?
There could be 2 reasons:
1. Your transaction is above RM1000 and you have not setup your security PIN in your Lazada Wallet. All transactions above RM1000 from your Lazada Wallet will now require a security PIN during checkout. Please go here to find out how to setup your security PIN for your Lazada Wallet.
AND/ OR
2. The number of items in your cart is more than 14 items. The number of items in your Tmall shopping cart during checkout must not be more than 14 items in a single checkout. If you have more than 14 items, please split your checkout to 2 or 3 payments.
