(1) What is Maybank Tokenisation and how does it work?
Maybank Tokenisation enables you to link your Maybank account to conveniently top-up your Lazada Wallet. This service is available to all Maybank customers with an active Maybank2u online banking account.
(2) How Do I Link Maybank Account & Top-up for the First Time?
Step 1: On your Lazada wallet, click 'Top Up' and enter your desired top-up amount. Once you click on 'Continue', you will reach the payment section to finalise your top-up request. At this page, select on 'Link Bank Account' to link your Maybank account to the Lazada Wallet.
Step 2: Once you select 'Link Bank Account', click on 'Confirm' and you will then be redirected to the Maybank2U page. On the Maybank2U page, select your Maybank account type for the payment to be deducted, access expiry timeframe & payment limit. You will receive a Transaction Authorisation Code (TAC) from Maybank to authorise and complete the transaction request.
Step 3: Once the transaction is successful, you will be redirected back to the Lazada's page. Confirm on the top-up amount and click on 'Top up now' to complete the request.
What will happen if my top-up request failed?
In the event your top-up request fails, you will receive an error message such as below:
1) Declined by Bank: Payment declined, please contact your bank.
2) Insufficient Balance: Payment failed due to insufficient account balance. Kindly ensure your bank account balance is sufficient before attempting the request through Maybank Tokenization.
3) Other Rejection Reason(s): The system may not be able to process your request due to security and other reasons. Please reach out to our Customer Care and provide a screenshot of the error message for further checking.
How do I unlink my Maybank account?
Step 1: From your Account page, go to 'Payment Options', under My Service section. Select the linked Maybank account that you wish to remove.
Step 2: You will receive a pop-up message for confirmation. Click 'Delete' to remove the selected bank account. Upon successful removal, you will no longer see linked Maybank account in the My Payment Options section.
How do I change the daily limit set for Maybank2U?
Step 1: On your Maybank2U online banking page, click on 'Setting' button and you should be able to see the 'Pay &Transfer' section on the next page.
Step 2: At the Pay & Transfer' page, you be able to see the 'Linked Account' section. All of your linked accounts will be visible under this section. Click on the pencil icon to change your payment limit.
Step 3: A pop-up will appear where you can update your payment limit and click the 'Update' button. For confirmation, you must request for TAC to confirm the transaction request.
Step 4: A pop-up message will appear once your request is successful.
