Remember, Lazada will not contact you directly to ask for any information except under very limited circumstances.
Keep all communications with any Sellers within the Lazada application or website as much as possible (use the Q&A section or Direct Messaging option)
Avoid sharing personal information with others. Example of personal information: Mobile number, email address, delivery address, bank account information.
Sellers should not proactively reach out to you to ask for your personal information over Chat, or any other methods. If you receive a call, message or email from anyone claiming to be a Seller asking for any information from you, please notify us immediately, regardless of how genuine the inquiry may seem.
Only make payment for orders via the Lazada application or website. Should a seller attempt to persuade you to make a bank transfer (or other direct payment to them), please notify us immediately – this includes payment of any “additional” fees
Check product and seller ratings and review before making a purchase - Do, however, remember that reviews can be faked. Scammers can buy over accounts of sellers with good ratings to aid in carrying out their scams.
Be wary of offers that are “too good to be true”. They usually are.
