Be aware of phishing attempts
Examples:
Any messages (in the form of emails, Chat, or even phone calls) that may at first appear legitimate. The Lazada logo may even be used to make the communication appear legitimate. You may be asked to verify a transaction or delivery address, review a payment, confirm verification codes or One Time Passwords (OTP), or perform any other action. Upon closer inspection, you will notice tell-tale signs that indicate it is a phishing attempt.
Fraudulently using the name of Lazada and its affiliates or posing as Lazada customer service and even using Lazada’s logo.
Look out for the following to help you identify if it is a phishing attempt: Sender’s email address, website domain name, email content, phone number of the requestor, spelling errors, inconsistent capitalization, irrelevant content, grammar mistakes.
NEVER share any One Time Passwords that you may receive.
REMEMBER:
Lazada will not contact you directly to ask for any information except under very limited circumstances. Be wary of anyone claiming to be a Lazada employee or a Lazada Seller asking for any kind of information from you, and please notify us immediately.
Avoid sharing personal information with others.
Keep all communication within the Lazada application or website as much as possible (use the Q&A section or Direct Messaging option)
Only make payment for orders via the Lazada application or website. Should an outside party attempt to persuade you to make a bank transfer (or other direct payment to them), please notify us immediately – this includes payment of any “additional” fees.
