How do you claim a refund on Aliexpress?

This depends on a variety of things, if the order has not yet been shipped you should be able to cancel easily and get your money refunded. However if the item has already been shipped or arrived it may be difficult. Most of these sellers won't accept returns and when they do you will have to pay the postage cost which could be very high. If the item doesn't arrive, is not as described or is broken/faulty you can start a claim to have your money refunded by Aliexpress. Be aware you will need to upload evidence to support your claim.
