I did purchase many goods from AliExpress and used my MasterCard. It was all good until couple of months ago, then, my credit card details were stolen and 10+ transactions done with all USD, Canadian Dollar, a total worth around $800.
Early hours of a day a suddenly started getting few messages that card was used to purchase few items. I immediately called Card helpline to block the card, by that time damage was done. My card is enabled with OTP for any purchase and nothing stopped the thief…
I raised dispute with Credit card company, lot of procedures to follow, enter each transaction in a separate form, sign, apply dispute and follow-up so that it doesn't come on the next billing. Also, making sure conversion charges are covered was a big thing.
Temporary credit was given in a week and then final dispute closed with permanent credit in couple of months.
Now, I am diffident to give my Cred card details for any international transaction. Now you can decide based on your risk factor.
