AliExpress has thousands of Chinese sellers.
Each one is different and things like quality, order correctness and support can be anything from poor to excellent.
And once you get the hang of it you can increase your chances of success enough for AliExpress to be reliable enough to shop from.
Though although popular, the site is not everyone’s cup of tea.
So what’s the worst case scenario?
- Your parcel gets lost somewhere and you have to wait for months to receive your order (never happened to me).
- Receive a defect item, supply evidence and apply for a refund and have to pay for return shipping (has happened to me).
Bottom line is, unless you are very unlucky, AliExpress sellers don’t want a negative review and will accept a refund with enough evidence such as pictures and detailed description of the problem with the order.
In some cases they’ll just tell you to keep the item for free.
Here’s what I recommend doing to get started:
- Communicate with the sellers, if they are helpful and responsive you are much more likely to have a good experience.
- Start by ordering items with many orders and good reviews before you are confident enough to experiment more.
Also, if you haven’t got an account yet you can use an invitation link from a ‘friend’ to get loads of coupons to get stuff loads cheaper.
Here’s instructions for you, hope this helps!
First, “use this link” to open the friend invitation register page.
Make sure it says referral register success, etc. at the top.
Then just hit on the “register” button on that page.
Now just fill in your email address, password.
Finally click on the “create account” button like so.
Now your account is created and you can see all the offers that are available to you, valid for all orders on the site.
Btw. noticed that if it looks like you’re not logged in the site. Just refresh the page with the refresh button on your browser.
Now select your item (example above).
The current price of the item is US $8.90 with free shipping.
Click on the “buy now” button to proceed.
Now you’ll have the option to apply the discount.
So for example, in this case instead of an $8.90 item, you are paying just $4.90 with free shipping to get it. Not bad if you ask me.
So while AliExpress is not the most reliable site and does have it’s learning curve, for those who are interested in mastering it will eventually be able to shop there in a reliable manner. At least, this was the case for me.
Thanks for asking hope this helped!
